I want to remove the wall with the window and make my kitchen bigger. Previous owners added the entry way edition. Honestly, all of this stuff goes completely over my head. I would prefer to do it myself. Can anybody give me pointers?
Also how do I know if I CAN remove a wall without messing other stuff up?
There is a door there, it’s not pictured.
Also. Happy Halloween 🎃 👻
If that entry way is and addition, and the wall with the window used to be an exterior wall, it is load bearing. You can still remove it, but it will need proper support/framing done. Probably need an architect/structural engineer to give you proper plans.
It’s possible it is a load bearing wall, if you want to do it yourself I would find someone knowledgeable to walk you through it. Good luck
Like others I suspect it was an original exterior load bearing wall. It would be an undertaking for Diy.
