Update! Did the crowns today!

Updated for NOTE. Crown molding…This is a square room BUT with the exception of this hallway that’s connected. If I just continue the molding down the hallway, there’s just no stopping it! The walls & rooms continue to be connected throughout the house except in the bedrooms. So how do I just “finish off” my square room (family room) with this hallway here? Do I need to install some sort of “beam” where they connect and paint it the same color as the family room, to totally square it off? Won’t that look dumb? **NOTE** If I keep going, this downstairs hallway goes into the kitchen (left of hallway turn) and entryway (right of hallway bend) then up the open stairwell, which also connects to the upstairs hallway.

Like this. End it where you want.

I would keep going with it down the hall. Might be a little more expense and work but it really dresses up a house

Search for crown molding corner (inside or outside corner) or decorative wood block. We used both and it turned out nice.

You can stop anywhere you like. Put a return on the end of the crown molding.

Take it to the end of the TV wall and the end of the picture wall
